General

No. One account handles both. You switch between personal and business mode in a single tap — your data stays completely separate on the inside.

Yes. Orbura has a native iOS app available now, as well as a full web app at app.orbura.com. Android is on the roadmap — join the waitlist at orbura.com to be notified when it launches.

Not a standalone desktop app — but the web app at app.orbura.com works fully in any browser on Mac, Windows or Linux. It's built for both mobile and desktop.

Most finance tools are built for one thing — either personal budgeting or business accounting. Orbura does both, in one app, with one login. Your personal and business finances stay completely separate but are always a tap away from each other. Add an AI assistant that already knows your numbers and you have something most tools simply do not offer.

No. Orbura works without a bank connection — you add income and expenses manually. Open banking (automatic transaction import) is coming soon and will always be optional.

Your data stays in your account on the free Starter plan. If you want it removed, you can download everything and delete your account from Profile → Data & Privacy. We don't hold your data hostage.

Open banking lets Orbura connect directly to your bank accounts to automatically import transactions — no manual entry needed. It's coming soon. Join the waitlist at orbura.com to be first to know.

Personal

Yes, completely. Personal and business finances are siloed at the database level. Your household budget never mixes with your business income, and vice versa.

Yes. The Home plan and above allow household sharing. Everyone gets their own login — only one person in the household needs to pay.

One person creates the household and invites others. Everyone gets their own account and sees the shared finances — bills, budgets, spending and goals. You can also split expenses between household members.

Yes. One subscription covers everyone in the household. Your partner, family members — they all get their own login under the same plan. Nobody else needs to pay.

Yes. Orbura lets you set savings pots with targets, track investment balances, and manage debt payoff — all in one place alongside your day-to-day finances.

Starter is free forever for solo use. Household sharing and advanced features require the Home plan or above.

Business

Sole traders, freelancers and limited companies. The Freelance plan covers sole traders and self-employed individuals. The Director plan adds everything a limited company needs — dividends, director salary, corporation tax estimates and VAT.

Yes. Orbura tracks VAT on your income and expenses and produces VAT summary reports. Direct MTD submission to HMRC is on the roadmap — for now your accountant can use the reports to file on your behalf.

Yes. Freelance, Director and Complete plans include invoicing and client management. You can create, send and track invoices and mark payments as received.

Yes. You can invite team members with role-based access (owner, admin, member) and give business partners their own login. Permissions control exactly what each person can see and do.

Yes — invite them as a partner and they get their own login with access to the shared business. They cannot see your personal finances.

Yes. Freelance, Director and Complete plans include accountant access with a read-only role. Your accountant can view income, expenses, invoices and reports — but cannot edit anything.

Orbura produces compliance-ready reports that your accountant can use for MTD submissions. Direct MTD submission from within Orbura is on the roadmap.
